Superb News: Tevez is set for City

We offered £25.5m for him? Whoever sanctioned that should be ashamed of themselves.

We won't miss his lack of pace, his inability to locate the penalty area, his five league goals, his woeful standard of fitness and the whinging to the media about not being treated fairly, Joorabchian orchestrated or not.

If he is City bound as is expected then the collection of morons that booed Ferguson's (correct) decision to take Tevez off as we secured a draw to win the league will have to bow their heads in shame. In fact, anyone who still believes the ludicrous media myth that Tevez is world class is monumentally deluded. No matter what the odious little pleb does it won't be to a standard that we need or deserve.

So we were offering £25.5m for Tevez, £17m for Valencia and £40m for Ribery, if reports are to be believe. That means we have a transfer kitty of at least £80m if you follow that to the logical conclusion. That could be interesting.

Couldn't agree more! Very good news indeed. We should rather go for Benzema or Luc Castaignos (a future superstar, mark my words).

Yeah, those decisive goals against Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Lyon, Blackburn, Stoke, Porto, City, Wigan etc etc - never a standard that we needed or deserved eh.

Get a grip, you sound like a 12 year-old who's just had a toy stolen from them. Grow up, act with some dignity and stop embarrassing yourself and fellow United fans.

Nick,

Those goals are a false economy. Look at all the other games (especially this year) that he's contributed absolutely nothing in. He can't live off past glories from a previous season, not that I rated him above average even in the 07-08 season.

He scored a few important goals, yes, but that only holds sway on the assumption that other players couldn't have done the same or better which they most certainly could have.

There's nothing embarrassing about what I'm saying; I just refuse to be the typical Man Utd superfan who worships the ground every player walks on and assumes Ferguson is flawless. That means actually realising when a so called superstar is nothing more than an overweight, overhyped mouthpiece whose sole aim is to whore himself out to the highest bidder.

Sadly for him, he didn't do nearly enough at Man Utd to make that us.

Good luck to the lad. Actually, no. I'm not sure I mean that after his pathetic whining.

Mr. Anonymous at the end there... We lost one of our main players, not two. I've not attempted to hide what a huge loss Ronaldo is. Do keep up.

I agree that with everything you say about Tevez and have had many an argument about it. I said I would have laughed my ass off if he'd joined Liverpool for around 25m!

In an ealier post you're a bit harsh on Hargreaves though. The guy has jumpers knee! Give him a chance. And Anderson has been played out of position his entire Utd career!

But yes, Tevez sucks monkey balls.

Maybe you misread, I say "he (Hargreaves) may well retire" not that "he may as well retire"... I think Hargreaves is as good a break-up midfielder as it gets. I'm much happier when he plays than when he does.

As for Anderson, I don't get your point. He's meant to be an attacking midfielder yet he can't pass, run with the ball or shoot. He's woeful.
